Welcome to Poundstock Parish Council’s Introduction to Grants Page

We are delighted to welcome you to the Grants Page of Poundstock Parish Council’s official website.

Here, you will find valuable information on funding opportunities available to support our local community. As a fundamental pillar of community development and well-being, our Parish Council is committed to providing financial assistance to groups and organisations that contribute to the growth and enhancement of our parish.

Section 137 of the Local Government Act 1972 allows a Local Authority* to spend a limited amount on activities for which it has no specific power, but which the authority considers ‘will bring direct benefit to the area or any part of it or all of some its inhabitants’. The Local Government and Housing Act 1989 added the requirement that the benefit obtained should be commensurate with the expenditure incurred.

On this page you will find information about eligibility criteria, application process and deadlines. We are dedicated to fostering transparency and accessibility, ensuring groups and organisations the opportunity to explore and apply for financial support to make a difference in our parish. Together we can look forward to bringing projects to life and contribute to the prosperity of our parish.
