POUNDSTOCK PARISH COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that due to the resignation of Jeremy
Petherick, a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the above Parish Council.
If by 11 October, 2024 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good
Friday and Bank Holidays, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy
is made in writing (by hand or post) to the Proper Officer at the address below by TEN electors* for
the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled
by co-option.
If an election is called, it will take place not later than 13 December, 2024.

Cllr. Tom O’Sullivan is censured by the Council
On the 14th August, 2023 Cllr. Tom O’Sullivan was found to have breached the Code of Conduct due to public comments he has made about Poundstock Parish Council and its members. Given his failure to apologise to the Parish Council in “an unqualified manner” as requested he was censured at the meeting of PPC 28.09.2023.
