The Parish Council act as one of the consultees for planning applications made in Poundstock.  Every planning application within the parish is discussed at the Council Meetings and information of forthcoming applications are on the agenda and noticeboards.  The public are welcome to cone along to Council Meetings and give their views on planning applications, or other matters during the period of public participation.

 

The final decision in any planning matter is made by Cornwall Council and not the Parish Council.

 

Cornwall Council will send you a list of new planning applications every week, just visit the Planning Portal of Cornwall Council to sign up for their Weekly Planning Report sent out Friday morning, listing every planning application made in the previous seven days, or to search for for a planning application click here

 

Cornwall Council use material considerations in the determination of planning applications.  The Cornwall Local Plan Strategic Policies 2010-2030 was formally adopted in November 2016 and provides a positive and flexible overarching planning policy framework for Cornwall up to 2030.  A new draft Cornwall Design Guide and draft Streetscape Design Guide recently been produced by Cornwall Council and consulted on from Monday 20 January to Monday 2 March 2020.  Cornwall Council is currently reviewing responses to the consultation to inform the finalisation of the documents which will be adopted in Spring 2020.  Once adopted both documents will be material considerations in the determination of planning applications.

COVID-19 PLANNING

 

Following advice received from Cornwall Council’s Acting Democratic Team Leader (Regulatory), along with previous advice received from Cornwall Association of Local Councils (CALC), Parish Councils may now follow a process regarding consultation and responses to planning applications for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.
